Well, I want to chronicle my work with Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB). -- I'm hoping my experience will surprise me. I don't have a positive opinion of programming with the mouse and piictures and OWB, from all I've seen of it so far (just a couple of hours and a perusal of the 700 page user guide) is mouse and picture based.
If I had my preference, I would use Python and MySQL for my job.
I have been directed to use OWB and the reasons given were:
My job is to migrate data from ms-access, paradox and text files into Oracle for use by Maximo, an Asset Management System. Maximo is being adopted by Boeing to schedule projects and maintenance on the many facilities, machines and buildings at the Melbourne and Bankstown sites in Australia.
This morning, I am greeted with an email from a colleague who is doing the same thing as me.
This is his bug report:

- share knowledge of OWB around the org
- allow my work to be reviewed by management
